I really enjoyed learning about Maya Angelou. She is an amazing woman! Learning about her rape and early pregnancy was a strive to be an amazing writer really resonated with me. I wish there was some more information on what most people thought about her works as a whole, but I really found a new appreciation for Maya Angelou because of this presentation!

Being not particularly familiar with her work, I really liked the way you summarized each of her works so that even if I wasn't familiar with the piece, I had the context for it. I agree with Summer in that I wish there had been more about the criticism of her works, but I understand that it can be difficult to find info, and I liked how you incorporated your difficulties into the presentation itself.

○ Hey guys! I really loved your presentation. I read "Still I Rise" for the first time in high school and I still think about it...I love the messages with her work. I also loved the poem you included and how her past was able to inspire her future works. This presentation was very informative and empowering, well done!

Maya Angelou
I have been reading work by Maya Angelou for a large part of my life, but I never really thought to look into any background information on her. This presentation was so interesting for me to listen to because it really made sense of her writing style and the topics that she wrote about. If I could make any criticisms, I would only say to maybe include a little bit more recent criticisms. Other than that I thought it was a wonderful presentation, I really enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed how much you guys learned about Maya Angelou's past, because I think it plays such an important role in her writing. Knowing the hardships that she has faced in her life makes her words that much heavier. I wish you guys could have found some criticisms of her work, but I really enjoyed her comment on critics. Great job!
