For your comments on Presentations:

  1. Write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?
  2. Is there constructive criticism that would help this group?  What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?

Post comments for this group below this post, please, as we all need feedback, and it's valuable.

  1. I could tell you both spent a lot of time researching so much about his writing style. Your enthusiasm while presenting really grasped my attention. As far as areas that seemed less polished, my only critique would be to have better laid out who was saying what. There were a couple times I felt someone had an idea and interrupted the other person while presenting. The excitement here is great but was a little challenging to follow sometimes. Excellent job!

    ○ Hey guys! I think this presentation was really awesome and informative...I thought it was really cool to see his distinct style about punctuation scarcity and use of white space which you guys showed in the poem you included. With critiques, I agree with Mikaela in the sense of presenting and the flow of it. But you guys did a really great job and I learned a lot, well done to you both!

  3. I really enjoyed your presentation! I especially like the way you incorporated our terms from the semester into your presentation. If I were to offer a constructive criticism, I would say that at times your presentation felt a little disorganized. You more than made up for it with sheer enthusiasm, but you many have wanted to run through it another time or two to get your flow down better.

    E.E. Cummings

Much like Wendell Berry, I didn’t hear or know much about E.E. Cummings, but this presentation was very effective in educating me on the basics of him. I really enjoyed learning about his unorthodox punctuation and his odd sentence structure. If I could suggest anything for this presentation I might say to include a bit more on his individualistic philosophies. You might also add a little bit more about his influence regarding todays movements and developments. This was a very interesting and enlightening presentation to listen to!

  5. I knew absolutely nothing about E.E. Cummings before this class, and thought it was extremely informative. It was cool how you guys were able to talk about the specific techniques in his poetry. I think it would have helped if you included just short hand examples of his style, but it was really nice nonetheless.

Your presentation was really good, I loved the energy you guys had while presenting. I could tell that
you both did a lot of research on E.E Cummings, and found his story and his writing really interesting. I
will agree with some of the other comments in saying that there were times when the two of you
seemed to cut each other off, which took us away from the presentation for the moments this occured.
Other than that I thought it was a great presentation.

  7. I loved the presentation. I wasn’t quite familiar with any of Cummings’ work, but my favorite part of your presentation was the detail about his punctuation and white space encouraged me to look into him. One thing that was a downside was that you guys couldn’t present in person so the video chat lag would interfere.
